3 For The Price Of 1, Barons Court Theatre

Southsea-based writer/director Roger Goldsmith presents three new short plays (for the price of one!) in what promises to be a hard-hitting excursion into the darker side of the human mind.

Goldsmith, whose short film Blackberry Stains won a Goldie award in 2011, and whose play It Started With A Touch scored a four star review on Remote Goat, is bound to leave yet another mark on the fringe circuit with his latest offering – titled 3 for The Price Of 1. COUNTING THE DAYS: when Fran confides to her school friend Zoe that her relationship with Zoe’s Dad led to pregnancy, it’s not just Fran’s attempted suicide that leaves everyone shocked. The very foundations of family values become uprooted in this tale with no holds barred!
Sharply written and using provocative dialogue throughout, the plays are as much a reflection of our times as they are a portrait of dysfunctional family life and disturbed individuals.
