One of the most highly anticipated games of the year has finally hit our shelves with the impact of a HK MG4, (Let's just say it's a pretty big gun).

Released worldwide on 10/11/2009 it has quickly become the biggest game of the year generating an amount of $310m in it's first 24 hours. If you think that's only a feeble amount then try and compare that with one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the year "The Dark Knight" which managed to generate $300m in 10 days. This just shows you that the games market is starting to turn heads on a large revenue scale.

Like you needed the 2 hour long queue's of sweaty palmed teenagers to tell you this right?

Obviously the game's biggest draw is it's online play and let's just say the developers have pulled out all the stops on this one. Everything in this game is beautiful and horrific at the same time. From the large scale graphics of the streets and buildings to the tiniest details of newspapers floating in the wind and even the ticking watch on your wrist, you can see that everything was tooth combed again and again with painstaking accuracy. Obviously with war will inevitably come death and yet still the graphics give this an unnerving and spookily accurate view on how the human body reacts and falters with every bullet and blow dealt to it, simply put you may as well be there yourself. The controls once again are fluid and react to each and every movement you wish to make and the soundtrack provides an eerie background to the war stricken streets. This franchise like the Grand Theft Auto platform will continue to keep the money rolling in for many years to come and if you haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet then I suggest getting on board as soon as possible. You seriously don't want to miss out on this one.
