Have you ever wondered what would happen if you won the lotrey or just found a big bag full of money. What would you spend it on? Holidays, houses or cars ?
In my mind’s eye it’s a brilliant life instead of typing this review I am on a beach with a Pina Colada being massaged by a voluptuous, scantly clad lady with strong fingers.

Ahhhhh (sigh) it’s a shame it’s a fantasy… but after you watch this movie you may not feel the same.

You can guess by the title that money is somehow involved in the theme of this movie. It’s not like Brewster’s Millions where spending a truck load of money is the main premise its rather the reclamation of a certain bag full of money that is the key motivator for the main characters. Sean Bean stars as two twins. The first twin Reese steels the money with a gang of bank robbers, but during the ensuing police chase he throws the booty out of his van’s window and watches it land on an unlucky guy Sam (Chris Hemsworth) just driving home from work. As Bean is being carted off to prison Sam takes the money home to his wife Leslie (Victoria Profeta) and their mortgaged house. With Hundreds of thousands of dollars the couple, think that their luck is in and start planning how they are going to spend all the money that quite literally has fallen from the sky.

Meanwhile ……. Reese Has called his brother Pike who too is an equally unnerving character who reluctantly agrees to become the repossession man from hell to recover the money and split the CASH fifty : fifty.
Now Pike ( Bean) with northern accent and a complete disregard for human life is relentless, sole minded and very inventive in the ways he eventually finds our unfortunate couple and then extracts the exact amount of money they found in the first place. Think of being in debt to the devil and it’s still not as bad as what Pike puts them through.
Look out for the methods they use to try and recoup some of the money and the effect these methods have on their outlook on life, right from wrong and each other.
After the movie you will really understand how corrupting money can be and how a slow escalation in intimidation could lead you further away from your normal sensibilities than you thought possible.

Look out for lots of pistol wiping, a bank manager who is put in his place (good), and the decreasing spiral of the couples morals going lower and lower. I am not sure about Bean all oiled up in silky trousers meditating bare foot and performing stretches in the couples living room. It was not a good look for him although it did add to his characters weirdness.
Overall a good movie for its stimulation of the senses, it’s thought provocation of how far people can be pushed and how money can change people for the worse.
