Family Reunion, directed by David kitchen, is a powerful short film about a family whose world is turned upside down by a dark secret. Though it is only ten minutes long, Family Reunion is a masterpiece that makes the audience reflect on their own families.

It all starts with a funeral: Uncle Bernie just departed this life. As Karen and Chase bond in their brotherhood to remain strong for their dad, who has recently lost his wife, life kind of goes on.
Then, something happens that is going to put Karen and Chase under a lot of tension and that is going to jeopardize their relationship, which might destroy their family.

Without revealing too much, Family Reunion is cleverly directed and edited. It proves that you do not need two hours to tell a strong story. Led by talented actors – Karen Bryson is simply stunning – and directed by a man who has nurtured his project for long enough to know exactly where to go with it, Family Reunion has an open ending and leaves many questions unanswered.

Family Reunion makes you think about your own family, all the stories, the secrets, the betrayals and the love that unites its members. But is the family bond strong enough to overcome the worst?
