Aiken knows the world is horrible. He knows the solar system has all manner of nasty aliens, out to hurt humanity and civilization. When he is assigned a team to flush out these guys he jumps at the chance to stop these monsters in their tracks. They are out there wanting to kill and injury, he is out there wanting to do the same to them. So when he and his squad investigate terrorist activity on Sedra all becomes horridly clear. Its kill and kill again...kind of

This works as a very good game. It has adventure, great mechanics and even a little bit of story to knit the whole together. The television series however, is just plain terrible. I have to think that the producers and writers were nervous of budgets and of the pilot ambitions. It happens, you aren't sure of how to pitch a film. So what do you do? Here they have made a film that is weak, wanting and without any positive aspects. It almost seemed that they were so careful as to be firmly in the camp of over caution. The film does meander and this makes it dull. If you make a pilot, then you don't want to do this. It has actually captured the ability to bore in a nutshell. I was hopeful but after some twenty minutes it became clear that I was going to have this hope shattered like a glass.

If anything is too be taken from this, it is that the actors are better than this. The cast is excellent and have been given this dire piece as a test of their resolve. Steven Waddington deserves better as an actor that is multi-talented and versatile. The other positive is that from here anything would be a plus, so if they commission a series, it could actually be better and also could have a few solid things in it. Better story lines, more character pieces and maybe even a little bit of action that is not driven by a guy, flapping around. More shootouts and far less shoot ups. All in all, miss this one and wait for the series to hit.
