Award winning "Stations of the Cross" is a powerful film based on a young girl called Maria and journey involving faith.

Faith is a major theme in this film, and the question is what will you sacrifice and who for? Maria falls in love with Boy Christain. But the Priest tells her to confess to her mother, which Maria does. Her mother is upset. To make her mother not angered by this, she chooses faith over love. Until she falls ill, Maria becomes the sacrfice to God, and the mother realises her selfish ways.

A film that breaks the traditional structure of film using 14 fixed angles. This structure breaks with the 14th angle of the film panning into the sky. The 14 fixed shots have a title before each scene, making it look like a step by step presentation of Maria's life. There is no organic flow to the scenes in the film, a flow in story, but each scene can show: Church, Family, Doctors, etc. The fixed angles allows you to only see things from a 4th wall dimension, this brings a surreal feel to the film but makes you focus on the story and the elements in the scene.

A must see film, for its unique take on filming and amazing strong storyline.
