(Cover) - EN Movies - Jonny Lee Miller is inspired by the “wildly different” styles of his upcoming two movies.

The British actor appears in Dark Shadows directed by Tim Burton and vampiric thriller Byzantium helmed by Neil Jordan.

Although both movies have gothic, supernatural undertones, Jonny contends that the movies are distinctly unique.

“They’re wildly different,” Jonny told The Hollywood Reporter. “I hadn’t even made the connection, if you can believe that. They’re so different.”

Jonny depicts Roger Collins in Dark Shadows, a greedy mortal who sponges off family fortunes. The actor believes that his personas in both films share one major attribute.

“My character in Byzantium is also not a vampire,” Jonny said. “He’s also quite an unpleasant guy.”

Working with legendary directors Tim and Neil was an incredible professional experience for the actor.

“I was so amazed in the space of several months to be able to work with two iconic directors,” Jonny said. “But the thing that’s the same about great directors is they make you feel really at ease, and they make you feel important. I was a smallish part in both movies, and yet I felt really like they wanted me there and that it was important, what I was doing.”

Dark Shadows will grace US theatres on May 11.

Byzantium is slated for release later this year.
