Ewan McGregor: Acting was my aspiration

(Cover) - EN Movies - Ewan McGregor says his “biggest dream” was always to be an actor.

The Scottish star has appeared in a host of movies such as Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge! and Star Wars. Ewan chose his career path from an early age and insists he never considered another alternative.

“Since I was nine years old, my biggest dream was acting,” he told Myself magazine. “I am very lucky because I have realised my dream. I would have been happy even if I was acting in a small theatre. I know a lot of talented actors that are more balanced than a lot of Hollywood stars.”

Ewan also revealed a desire to step behind the camera. He is interested in making a movie and seeing his ideas realised on the big screen.

“I would like to become a director,” he added. “Until now I have only directed a short film. In addition when you are behind the camera you don’t have to spend hours with make-up and stage costume.”

The 41-year-old hunk went on to explain how he spends his free time while he is on location. Ewan travels around the world making movies and admits he can feel homesick.

“Sometimes I bring my guitar and some books in order to fight against loneliness,” he explained. “Sometimes I paint or I spend time on the web, looking at motorbikes, my biggest passion. I love the vintage models. But often I have to turn off the laptop because I waste too much time.”
