(Cover) - EN Movies - Will Smith was “terrified” of another actor playing Tommy Lee Jones’ iconic character in Men in Black III.

In the third instalment of the popular movie franchise Will’s character Agent J travels back in time and encounters the young Agent K, who is portrayed by Jones in the first movies.

The Hollywood star said the whole team was worried about whether Josh Rowland could match the legendary actor’s iconic performance and create the same chemistry with him.

“We were a little bit terrified because Tommy Lee Jones as Agent K is pretty iconic - that black suit and those black glasses around the world is arguably Tommy’s most iconic role. So to have another actor come in and try to match that chemistry - it was pretty scary. That first day on set no one had heard Josh do it and he comes in and we do that first scene together and we got a standing ovation on set,” he told BBC Radio 1. “He [Josh Rowland] worked with Tommy Lee Jones on a couple movies - most recently they did No Country for Old Men - and they come from towns near one another in Texas so he just knew it.”

Will added he sometimes feels reluctant to star in sequels.

The movie icon doesn’t want to be known for filming additional instalments of a franchise just for the sake of it.

The 43-year-old added that he was unlikely to be a part of the upcoming I Am Legend 2 project.

"Probably not. Producers are working on it. I'm not actually working on it,” he said when asked if would star in the sequel to the 2007 hit film. “If it's great, I'm into it. I don't want to be the sequel guy. I figure I've got about six or seven more years."
