Michael Fassbender: I’m not pretentious actor

(Cover) - EN Movies - Michael Fassbender says he isn’t a “monster of pretention” because it’s taken him so long to become a successful actor.

The 35-year-old actor’s star has risen over the last year, thanks to roles in films such as Shame, A Dangerous Method and Haywire.

He doesn’t understand why some stars seem uninterested in their job, as it is all he has ever wanted.

“Struggling for years is the reason why I’m not blasé or a monster of pretention. Success? It is all new for me. I try to stay a normal dude… well, as much as we can be when one is doing this crazy job!” he laughed.

Michael added his love for his job is the reason he is relatively secretive about his romantic life. He recently confirmed he is dating his Shame co-star Nicole Beharie but hasn’t gone into specific details.

“The less people know about my life, the more they could identify with the characters I play. Work is my priority,” he told madamelefigaro.fr.
