Brad Pitt’s feet “are a mess” after spending hours in mud filming his new movie.

The actor is currently in the UK shooting World War II film Fury. Although the hunk has been enjoying driving tanks around, the 15-hour days in trenches are taking their toll on his body.

Standing in mud up to his knees has left Brad with nasty feet and producers have apparently hired a chiropodist to ensure their leading man doesn’t get trench foot.

“Director David Ayer wants this film to be as realistic as possible. It has been really hard going for the actors. They have been charging around fields in cold, dank conditions from 6am until 11pm and beyond. When Brad started complaining about problems they called in a specialist to make sure he could carry on filming. His feet are a mess,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“He’s got loads of blisters and really manky, peeling skin. But now a chiropodist is on set looking after him he’s back on form.”

Trench foot is a medical condition caused by prolonged exposure of the feet to damp, unsanitary, and cold conditions. It was common in warfare situations, particularly for soldiers who fought in World War I.

Director David wants the movie to look authentic, so the cast have undergone rigorous military training.

It was recently revealed that Brad and his co-star Shia LaBeouf were left stranded in a desolate English forest for three days.

"They play soldiers in the same World War II troop, and the director wanted to make sure they bonded," an insider told Us Weekly. “So he dropped them in the wilderness - without their cell phones!"

Brad and Shia were joined by three other male cast members and were forced to forage for food in the woods.

The 49-year-old star has opened up about his successful year in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter. He has revealed he ignored the negativity surrounding the delayed release of World War Z with the mantra “Game on, f**kers”.
