Jason Isaacs found it "hilarious" when his daughter chose to watch Blades of Glory at a sleepover.

The British actor has had an illustrious career on both the small and silver screen, including starring as evil wizard Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise. Speaking to Empire magazine about the movies which have shaped him as an actor, Jason found himself recalling one humorous incident that sticks in his mind.

"The last movie that made me cry with laughter was [2007 comedy] Blades of Glory. My daughter had some friends over for a sleepover and they chose it, which I thought was hilarious but actually maybe not that appropriate," he mused. "I wept, mostly with laughter and partly with fear of Social Services turning up."

When it comes to his personal taste in films, Jason's choices vary. But one recent flick stands out for the 51-year-old.

"The last movie that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end was Gone Girl," he gushed. "I saw it a few days ago and it's been a very, very long time since I've covered my face with my hands and wanted to shout at the characters on the screen. It did that to me repeatedly. I looked like someone possibly off his medication."

Differing massively, the first ever movie he watched was 1965's The Sound of Music; not when it was first released though, as he's "far too young". It wasn't the most relaxing experience for a young Jason.

"At some point someone handed someone something and I stood on my chair and screamed, 'CRACKERJACK.' I was marched out by my mum, crying, not understanding why everyone was booing me," he grinned.
