(Cover) - EN Movies - Lindsay Pulsipher has landed a lead role in the new adaptation of Bonnie and Clyde.
The actress is best known for appearing in vampire TV show True Blood. She will take over the role of Bonnie Parker from Hilary Duff.
Pregnant star Hilary was forced to pull out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts.
Writer-and-director Tonya S. Holly is thrilled to have Lindsay on board the project about the two lovers who robbed banks during the Great Depression in America.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” Holly said. “Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role. This is a gripping story about two of the most legendary fugitives in history."
Lindsay is enjoying a busy time at the moment.
She had already been cast in the movie as Cousin Mary before landing the lead female role.
She is currently filming History Channel miniseries The Hatfields and the McCoys alongside Kevin Costner.
Lindsay also appears in independent movies The Oregonian and Meth Head.
The Story and Bonnie and Clyde is scheduled to begin shooting in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Missouri later this year.
Kevin Zegers was originally set to play Clyde Barrow. However, movie bosses are also looking for a new male lead for the project after he dropped out for scheduling reasons.
