Wynonna Judd taking on hair-washing duties for hospitalised sister Ashley

Country star Wynonna Judd is turning hair stylist for her little sister, actress Ashley, as she continues to recover from her traumatic fall in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Ashley Judd shattered her leg "in four places" last month after tripping while walking through a rainforest on a conservation mission, and had to be airlifted to South Africa to receive emergency treatment, before flying back to her native U.S., where she has undergone further surgery.

The Double Jeopardy star is slowly healing from her ordeal, but she is desperate to wash her hair, and has turned to her singer sister to help her out.

"Therein lies the job of a big sister right there," Wynonna laughed to the New York Post's Page Six.
"She said, 'I have a request. Can you wash my hair?' I said, 'Sure,' so I'm looking up ways to wash someone's hair lying down," she shared.

The siblings reunited for the first time after Ashley's accident "the other day" and Wynonna admits it was a tearful event, as she is "still processing" what the actress had been through, although she has hailed her survival and road to recovery "a miracle".

Ashley and Wynonna are the daughters of country music veteran Naomi Judd.
