(Cover) - EN Movies - David Fincher says he wouldn’t make a “sanitised” version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The director is well known for creating some of the edgier movies in Hollywood such as Se7en, Fight Club and Zodiac.

David was thrilled to be approached with the offer to make an English language version of the bestselling novel by Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

David has revealed that he never had any intention of making a distilled version of the Swedish film.

"If Sony or Columbia Pictures wanted a sanitised version of this movie, I don't think I would have been the guy on speed dial," he told the BBC.

Daniel Craig plays investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist in the movie. The actor loved working with David and was amazed by the creative freedom he was given.

"I had a great time with him [David], he does a lot of takes but he wants to get it right,” he explained.

"I was very privileged that he allowed me to collaborate in the movie and in the best way possible I was allowed to be involved with every aspect of it."

Daniel has become a huge name since he accepted the part of James Bond for the 2006 movie Casino Royale.

The star can’t believe how many opportunities he has received since taking on the iconic role.

"I've just done this movie with David Fincher and I'm working on another movie with Sam Mendes. These are great directors and I've always wanted to work with these people," he smiled.

"The opportunities are there so I'm taking them, in a couple of year’s time it might not be the same way."
