Mo Fini, Director of Mambo Man comments on his deep connection with the film:

"JC is an old friend of mine, and we’ve worked together on music projects for almost 30 years. I’ve witnessed his journey from the pinnacle to the lowest point, and each time he bounced back, resilient.
However, when he shared his compelling story, I knew it was narrative rich in culture that couldn’t be left untold, and so Mambo Man was born. What inspired me even more was being able to showcase the unexplored beauty of this part of Cuba, away from Havana, which had never been filmed before.
The stark contrast to the way of life in Havana excited me so much that I made the bold decision to sell my flat and produce this cinematic masterpiece. Mambo Man is not just a film; it's a passion project born out of the heart and soul of Cuba, and I am thrilled to bring this unique tale to audiences worldwide."

Mambo Man has received over 80 award wins including Arthouse Festival Beverley Hills, New York Independent Cinema Awards, Hollywood Best Indie Film Awards , The IndieFEST Film Awards, Buenas Aires International Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival, New York Latino Film Festival, among others.
