FrightFest has presented global genre short films since 2004, and this year’s selection is as bold and diverse as ever. This year’s selection, screened at the ODEON Luxe West End, has films from across the world, including fourteen World Premieres.
This year’s three showcases feature a range of International Premieres, including the World Premiere of Open Your Eyes. Other US highlights the surreal VFX-inspired Trip, animation horror VHX, horror rom-com Hide Your Crazy, the Giallo-inspired Bath Bomb, Shadow, from Lebanese American filmmaker Kamell Allaway and Sketch, a creepy romp.
From Germany comes love story Forever Yours, from France The Cost Of Flesh and Game Over. Finally, from Denmark is Fomo/Armageddon.
The UK is represented with twenty-two entries, including the World Premiere of The Awakening. There are three returning directors this year: David Yorke, with the World Premiere of Safe, Tony Hipwell, with the World Premiere of Body Worn Video and John Ferrer, with two entries this year – The Milk Situation and 1 Star Review.
