A Minecraft Movie makes it three non-consecutive weeks at Film Chart summit

A Minecraft Movie returns to the Official Film Chart summit for a third non-consecutive week.

The Jared Hess-directed fantasy adventure comedy movie, based on Mojang Studios’ hit 2011 video game Minecraft, stars Jason Momoa as Garrett, Jack Black as Steve, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, Emma Myers as Natalie and Sebastian Hansen as Henry.

When struggling salesman Steve breaks into a mine and discovers the Orb of Dominance and the Earth Crystal, a mysterious portal opens and pulls four characters into the Overworld; a cubic world that requires imagination in abundance if they’re to escape.

Earlier this year, A Minecraft Movie recently made Official Singles Chart history, when Jack Black track Steve’s Lava Chicken became the shortest song ever to make the UK Top 40, at a total duration of just 34 seconds.

Elsewhere, as Jurassic World Rebirth hits cinemas, 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion returns to the Top 10 (6), as does classic 1987 cop action-thriller Lethal Weapon (8).
