The family-friendly blockbuster, A Minecraft Movie, has once again ascended to the summit of the Official Film Chart, marking its third non-consecutive week at Number 1. The Jared Hess-directed fantasy adventure comedy, which draws its inspiration from Mojang Studios' popular 2011 video game Minecraft, continues to resonate with audiences on the home entertainment charts.

The film boasts a notable cast, including Jason Momoa as Garrett, Jack Black in the role of Steve, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, Emma Myers as Natalie, and Sebastian Hansen as Henry. The narrative follows struggling salesman Steve as he inadvertently uncovers the Orb of Dominance and the Earth Crystal during a mine break-in. This discovery triggers the opening of a mysterious portal, transporting four characters into the Overworld – a cuboid dimension that demands considerable ingenuity for their escape.

Earlier this year, A Minecraft Movie made headlines on the Official Singles Chart when Jack Black's track, "Steve’s Lava Chicken," achieved the distinction of becoming the shortest song ever to enter the UK Top 40, with a runtime of just 34 seconds.
