Mission: Impossible and Superman dominate the Official Film Chart

Ethan Hunt is on a mission to stay on top, as Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning holds the Number 1 spot on this week’s Official Film Chart. The 2025 action-spy film, starring Tom Cruise, continues the high-stakes narrative from its predecessor, Dead Reckoning. Hunt, along with his IMF allies, must race against time to stop a rogue AI known as the Entity from seizing control of the world's nuclear arsenal. With a plan to lure the AI to a fortified digital vault, the team faces a final, desperate battle to save humanity from global annihilation.

The highest new entry on the chart arrives at Number 2. James Gunn's highly anticipated Superman reintroduces Clark Kent to a new generation. Starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, the film explores the duality of an alien with godlike powers striving to live as a man. Serving as the first chapter in DC’s revitalized cinematic universe, the film delves into themes of identity, belonging, and hope in a world that has grown cynical of its heroes.

Holding its ground at Number 3 is Jurassic World Rebirth. The film, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, is set five years after Jurassic World Dominion.
