The 69th BFI London Film Festival (LFF) has announced its full program for 2025, promising a spectacular twelve-day cinematic event from October 8 to 19. This year's festival will feature 247 films, shorts, series, and immersive works from 79 countries, with an impressive 42% of the lineup created by female and non-binary filmmakers.

The festival will open with the highly anticipated international premiere of Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The closing night will feature the UK premiere of Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero. The lineup also includes a number of high-profile galas, such as Hikari’s Rental Family, Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly, and Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet.

In addition to the screenings, the LFF will host exclusive "Screen Talks" with legendary filmmakers and actors, including Yorgos Lanthimos, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Tessa Thompson. These talks will be available both in-person and online on BFI Player and BFI YouTube.

The festival's commitment to accessibility is evident in its diverse range of offerings. The LFF for Free program includes talks, workshops, and short films available at no cost. For the first time, a limited number of £10 tickets will be available for all screenings, and tickets for those aged 25 and under will be just £6.

LFF Expanded will return to showcase cutting-edge immersive art and video games, with works presented at BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX, and Rambert. The festival will also continue its popular LFF Series for television and digital platforms and will tour to 11 partner venues across the UK, bringing the cinematic experience to a wider audience.
