Filming has wrapped for The Nice Ones, a psychological horror-thriller written and directed by Peter Stylianou, whose 2024 vampire feature Drained marked him as an intriguing new voice in independent filmmaking.

Joelle Rae (The Witcher) and Emrhys Cooper (Nosferatu) topline the feature as Kate and Dale, a couple whose countryside getaway with friends spirals into terror. At a stylish Airbnb, laughter and nostalgia soon give way to mounting dread after Kate witnesses strange lights moving across the night sky. As tensions fracture the group, a terrifying force seeps into the house, forcing Kate to confront both her darkest past and an otherworldly threat.

The ensemble includes Donna Preston (The Sandman, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Ian Whyte (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Daniela Norman (Tiny Pretty Things), Ayvianna Snow (How to Kill Monsters), James Akka (The Sandman), Nick Lavelle (Red XII), Tom Kelsey (National Theatre Live: Dr. Strangelove), and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock (The Little Mermaid).

The Nice Ones is produced by Ayvianna Snow and Nick Lavelle.

The film is a co-production between RG Films, LA-based Level 33 Entertainment, and Snow Pictures, marking the first producing role for Snow, a UK indie horror actor with more than 70 screen credits. Level 33 Entertainment will handle worldwide distribution.

Writer-director Peter Stylianou said: “With The Nice Ones I wanted to collide intimate paranoia with something vast and uncanny. It’s about identity, trust, and what happens when the people closest to you might not be who they seem.”
