The UK Film Awards has confirmed details for its upcoming international live awards event, taking place on Sunday 21 December 2025 at Metropolis in Epsom, UK.

The one-night event will bring together approximately 320 filmmakers, nominees and industry guests for an evening celebrating independent cinema from the UK, Europe, the United States and China. The programme combines curated film screenings with a live awards ceremony recognising achievement across acting, directing, screenwriting and key craft disciplines.

Designed as a focused, in-person industry gathering, the event also provides structured networking opportunities alongside the awards presentation. Metropolis’ large-scale mixed-use venue will host a red carpet arrival, official photowall, screenings and a live on-stage ceremony, followed by post-event networking in a festive end-of-year setting.

Doors open at 6:00pm, with screenings and drinks on arrival. The live awards ceremony begins at 9:30pm, followed by networking until 11:30pm.

The UK Film Awards honours performance-led independent work alongside internationally recognised screen performers, past and present. Previous editions have recognised talent including Alan Cumming, Eddie Izzard, Jason Watkins, Cara Buono and Virginia Madsen. This year’s acting award nominations include Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes, Perry Benson, Jessica Barden and Noomi Rapace.

The UK Film Awards is an IMDb-credited international film festival, ensuring official industry recognition for award winners and nominees.
