The Michael Jackson biopic Michael has returned to the summit of the Official Film Chart, climbing one position to secure Number 1 for a fourth non-consecutive week. The biographical drama, which previously held the top spot for three weeks across June and July, continues its strong performance on the UK home entertainment standings.

This week's highest new entry comes from Scary Movie (2026), which debuts at Number 2. The latest instalment in the long-running horror-comedy franchise reunites iconic characters Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray as they navigate a new wave of horror parodies and chaos.

Meanwhile, The Devil Wears Prada 2 rises four places to Number 3. The sequel brings back original stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci as Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs navigate an evolving magazine publishing industry.

Last week’s chart-topper, Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi epic Disclosure Day, drops three places to Number 4. Supernatural horror Obsession, directed by Curry Barker, holds its position at Number 5.

Further down the chart, Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu slips two places to Number 6, following Din Djarin and Grogu's latest galactic mission for the New Republic. Former Number 1 title The Super Mario Galaxy Movie falls one spot to Number 7, while DC's Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock, drops five places to Number 8.

The historical epic Troy maintains its position at Number 9 for another week, while Spider-Man: No Way Home climbs one place to re-enter the standings at Number 10 to round off the weekly chart.

The Official Film Chart is published weekly by the Official Charts Company, reflecting physical disc and digital download sales across the UK.
