The Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) has officially announced the star-studded programme for the 21st edition of the London Korean Film Festival (LKFF). Running from 2 November to 16 November 2026, the milestone festival will take over premier London venues including BFI Southbank, Ciné Lumière, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), marking three decades of championing Korean cinema in the UK.

This year’s festival launches with the UK premiere of Kim Mi-jo’s gripping crime drama The Journey to Gyeong-ju. Starring Lee Jung-eun alongside Gong Hyo-jin and Park So-dam, the film follows a grieving matriarch and her daughters seeking vengeance. Director Kim and star Lee Jung-eun will attend the opening night for an exclusive in-person Q&A. Lee will also present Pil Gam-seong’s heartwarming zombie comedy My Daughter Is a Zombie.

For the Closing Gala, the festival presents the UK premiere of Park Hoon-jung’s high-stakes action thriller Tristes Tropiques, accompanied by a director Q&A. Winner of the Nouveau Genre Grand Prize at L’Étrange Festival, the blood-soaked feature continues Park’s legacy of hard-hitting cinema following acclaimed hits like New World.

The prestigious Special Screening strand boasts major international titles, including Lee Chang-dong’s Venice Film Festival Silver Lion winner Possible Love, Yoon Ga-eun’s acclaimed drama The World of Love, and Frederik Sølberg’s Hana Korea starring Kim Min-ha. Meanwhile, the 'Cinema Now' and 'Women’s Voices' strands will showcase cutting-edge independent features, thoughtful documentaries, diaspora narratives, and emerging female filmmakers, such as Yoo Jaein’s award-winning En Route To.

Tickets and further schedule information are available via the official festival website at koreanfilm.co.uk.
