Vanessa Bryant has honoured her late husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna with a new tattoo.

The basketball icon, his 13-year-old daughter, and seven others died in a tragic helicopter accident in January.

And taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Vanessa shared several videos showing her getting the ink in a sweet tribute to her loved ones.

“Shoutout to @nikkohurtado for coming over and helping me get my Gigi's sweet message transferred on me #throwbacktoFebruary," the 38-year-old captioned a clip of her displaying the new design on her wrist, by tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado, which reads, “My Gigi.”

While in another video, Vanessa is shown having a design inked on her shoulder and neck, which she told followers was a message from Kobe.

"I wanted my boo boo's @kobebryant sweet message transferred on me (sic)," she wrote alongside the clip, in which Nikko could be seen inking the secretive design. "@nikkohurtado came through for me. Thank you! #inked #messagetransfer #BooBoo #throwback."

Vanessa has not yet revealed what the tattoos say.

Nikki later reposted one of her videos and wrote in the caption: "Truly honoured to give you something to keep with you my friend."

Basketball players LeBron James and Anthony Davis have also been inked with tattoos in memory of the Los Angeles Lakers star.

Kobe and Gianna were killed alongside passengers John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and pilot Ara Zobayan in the crash in Los Angeles on 26 January.
