Actor and director Sean Turner is embracing the literary arts with his fine adaptation of Louis De Berniere’s play; Sunday Morning at The Centre of the World, to be performed at Tooting Tram & Social Club.

Written by Louis De Berniere in 2001, the play is based upon his experiences of the lives and diverse cultures he observed while living in Garratt Lane, Tooting, London. Sean will be working alongside producer; Andrew David, and set designer Tony Draper in collaboration with Antic Ltd. The play draws influences from the infamous; ‘Under Milkwood’ written by Dylan Thomas.

Commenting on the forthcoming play Sean said: “The play will show a myriad of voices from Garratt Lane and SW17, the Tooting Tram & Social Club where it is based will be become a ‘mini Tooting’. It is a fast paced show with a seated audience, we have cast eight people who will play around 30 diverse characters. The audience will participate and become other characters during the performance.

I hope to bring the area together with the local community celebrating diversity from the theatre going audience to those who never go to the theatre. I am also inspired by great works from small theatre projects by Tara Arts who cater for the local area”.

For two nights only: Sunday 19-26 September 2010 at 8pm. Venue: Tooting Tram & Social Club (www.antic-ltd.com/tooting/) … An 'arts' must !
