Filmed in Glasgow earlier in the year Kevin Bridge's first DVD release introduces a brash and confident performer that has the audience at his command, though essentially not bringing anything new or fresh to the scene. Well he's not relying on a stupid outfit for attention so there's that at least.

There's no denying the Scottish sensibility to comedy is addictive viewing and is inherently designed to make you laugh despite the content of the joke. Ok, so maybe I just love their accents and believe they can make a reading of Slyvia Plath poems sound hilarious. But Bridges seems to rely a little too much on profanities as a crutch rather than a punchline in his random musings of topics that roll around in his head.

There's no particular theme to the Glasgow gig, but the jokes revolving around his homeland and the rites of passage for 90's kids are the best, and the 22 year old swaggers around the stage like he's always been around. In other words he has a promising future ahead of him. The DVD itself is nothing amazing, but as an extra you get an episode from Michael McIntrye's Comedy Road Show which is nice.
