Feuding flatmates Daphne Pegg (Judy Cornwell), a disillusioned civil servant, and divorced antiques dealer Roland Moody (Derek Waring) once again are digging up the buried hatchet in this bittersweet comedy-drama from the 70s.

Moody and Pegg cleverly chronicles the undesirable yet occasionally mutually beneficial relationship between two very different people trying to live under the same roof, after a rogue estate agent leases the same flat to both of them. In this second series, first transmitted in 1975, Daphne and Roland are subjected to alcoholic aunt Ethel, disasters in a hair- and beauty parlour, the appearance of a daughter, bitchy ex-spouses and potential lovers.
Last but not least, Roland must endure a hilarious Marlene Dietrich-impersonation by Daphne, who finally tries to get it on with him. Suffice to say, even suspender stockings and a smoky and smouldering Marlene-song are a wasted effort for Miss Pegg to impress her flatmate enough to put domestic quarrels aside!

While the series as such is certainly a product of its time, the topics and scenarios are timeless and simply portray the human condition in, well, a bittersweet manner that all of us can relate to.
