Bulman - The Complete Second Series

When the big Sony warehouse went up in flames during the London riots, almost all of Network DVDs stock was destroyed. Luckily, the company has re-emerged from the ashes and titles are now available again.

Like Bulman – The Complete Second Series, a detective series first transmitted by Granada TV in the mid-80’s.
Don Henderson plays Bulman, a retired cop who takes the word ‘scruffy’ to new heights. Together with his pretty sidekick Lucy McGinty (Siobhan Redmond) he is hard at work trying to solve even the trickiest cases, albeit not always by using orthodox methods…

The episodes are both filled with suspense and quirkiness. Particularly entertaining are ‘White Lies’ and ‘The Chicken of The Baskervilles’, in which Hammer Horror scream queen Ingrid Pitt is involved in dodgy deals, trading rare birds. Bulman first takes on a position as a butler in Lord Kilmartin’s country estate, then he takes to the skies to get to the bottom of things. And watch out for that John Belushi-clone amateur detective who does a hilarious spin on the Chicken Dance!
