There are no names in this four handed thriller, until the end credits and then just one, ‘F**kup.’ The others sister, man and woman.

Sisters Lizzy Caplan and Lucy DeVito are staking out the home of a wealthy man who has done something to Caplan that has convinced her she has to rob him. She is accompanied by her sister DeVito with whom she has a combustible relationship.

Nevertheless the idea is simple Caplan breaks in, steals something of value, gets out with DeVito as driver. She has stalked the victim so is aware of his routine. It should all be quick and smooth.

But when Caplan is late, DeVito goes in and finds her in bathtub having put her back out. This leaves DeVito to drag Caplan out of the bath – not having the suggested wheelbarrow to hand – in agony.

If that wasn’t bad enough and having spotlighted it earlier on by directors and writers Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer, Caplan is dragged over a nail opening up her back. Luckily, the homeowner has duct tape.

Then there are the stairs to contend with down to the lobby and the basement. Naturally with all this, the timing has gone to pot and the man (John Stamos) returns with a woman/date (Christine Ko). However whatever the man (who turns out to be a celebrated artist) had done to Caplan is as nothing to what he has in mind for the woman.

Drag is first and foremost a lot of fun. There are great elements of gross slapstick as when Caplan topples down the stairs. There are old gags aplenty as when the man figures out there are other people in the house and starts searching around e.g. the mannequin under a sheet and a stuck cupboard door. Yet as old and creaky as they are, Ullman and Yagolnitzer successfully build up the tension.

It’s a physical film yet has some wonderful dialogue between the sisters and when the man’s motives are revealed (accompanied by the music of The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band) he’s a loon with words and actions to match as when he can’t find his duct tape.

And the reason for all mayhem, pain and blood, why Caplan is obsessed with breaking in and stealing from this man, is fittingly absurd.
